Most days driving home from work it will take me about 40-45 min to get home. Today it took me almost an hour. :( I normally listen to the radio, but it seems like I will go through about 6 or 7 stations and none of them will be playing anything that I want to listen too. Someone recently mentioned listening to audio books, since I drive so far and I realized that the concept had never even crossed my mind.
When I opened my library card, I figured I would give the audio books a try. The Nest's book club had The Outsiders, listed as the book for November and the library had it on audio, so I checked it out. The Outsiders is a shorter book since it is Young Adult fiction, but with the amount of time I sit in the car, I flew through it.
It was great! After finishing the Outsiders, I started looking into other audio books the library had. It's been tough finding them through the library's search function online as you need a title, but I have been able to find a couple. I received my email notification from the library today, stating that Wuthering Heights was ready for me to pick up! I have been oh so patient while waiting for it to be turned in. Hopefully, tomorrow I will have time to go pick it up!
So, if you spend lots of time in the car, I definitely recommend looking into listening to books on audio!

I love audiobooks for in my car. Some of the ones I've enjoyed a lot: The Historian, Harry Potter, The Host, The Time Traveler's Wife. You have to be careful, some books are just horribly read... but the good ones can be amazing.
Thanks for the recs!
I have The Great Gatsby on audio, and need to try it out. I am afraid I will tune out.
