Finally, I changed the layout and added a new header!
I blogged about doing this forever ago and I finally got around to put up all the news changes. I am really proud of what I have learned. It took me a lot longer to figure out what I was doing than I anticipated, but it's done. There are still some small changes that I want to make and things to tweak though. I can now say, that I know a little bit about HTML, but I am still no where near "good" at it.
Anyways, I know a lot of you use google reader and don't see the layout changes, so go take a look and tell me what you think!

My Memory is Failing Me
Awhile ago, someone blogged about a book they read and said it was very good. I had thought to myself at the time, "Oh that sounds good. I should go buy it... No, I won't as the hubby says I spend to much on books." So of course I didn't go buy it. Boooo!
Anyways, I was thinking to myself today that I haven't bought any books lately, so I can justify buying a new one. Also, when I got home after running some errands today, there was a package sitting on the door step. David had yet again bought something online. That's one more reason to justify buying this said book.
Of course, I now can't remember the title of the book or who the author is. I thought I knew which blogger it, was but alas I can't find a book review on her blog. I am normally good at remembering these types of things, so this is very frustrating!
I guess I will just have to go to the book store and find another book that sounds interesting!

Just Beautiful
This is what I saw on my way home from work today!
Of course, it was much prettier in person, as this was taken on my cell phone. Anyways, I really think it it was the prettiest rainbow that I have ever seen.

Mini Update
So, it's Monday again. The weekends are never long enough are they? I have to work today, unlike most people who are off, sigh. But, we did have an awesome weekend as we took a mini-vaca. It was very much needed. We also have Disneyland passes again, wohoo! I am very excited about that.
A full recap of the weekend will be coming soon!

Staying Warm
For several days now, it has been rainy and cold. I have thoroughly enjoyed the rain, but not the cold. Since it's warm the majority of the time here in Southern California, you don't really want to go out and buy tons of warm clothes. Also it's hard to find really warm clothes, as the stores don't have a lot of options.
Thus, I always cold and in need of a cheap and easy way to keep me warmer. For awhile, I kept telling David, that I needed some long socks. Well the other day, I was at Target and figured I would stop by the sock section. Sure enough, I found knee high socks and bought a couple of pairs.
Oh how I them! What I don't understand is, how come I have never owned any of these before? Ya sure, when I was a kid I would wear the old school thermals, but those weren't cute at all. They don't even compare to the cute colors of the socks which Target has. Hmmmm, maybe the problem was that there wasn't even a Target nearby when I lived in Indiana. I am so glad that Target is only 5 minutes away.
Anyways, back to socks. I really like the ones I bought, but I do wish they were a little bit thicker. I'll take what I can get though. I wear them whenever I can and I put them on most days, as soon as I walk through the front door after work.
So, I have partially solved my problem. I am nice and toast warm while at home. My new dilemma though, is staying warm in the office!
Any suggestions?

One Month
That is how long it has been since the last time that I blogged. I am pretty sure this was the longest period of silence for me, since I started my blog over a year and a half ago. I really do apologize for the lack of new reading material!
Quite a bit has happened though in the past month. David's cousin Mark unfourtunatley passed away. We were so very sad and still are. I know David is especially finding it hard to comprehend the concept that Mark is gone. It's never easy loosing someone that you care about. Thankfully, we know that we will one day see him again, as Mark is with the Lord.
I also started my new job. Change is always hard and this time I believe it was even harder on me, as it wasn't my decision to leave my old company. I am sure long term wise, that I am in the right place. They want me to do some traveling and further my education, which will help me make this a career and not just "job". This all deserves it's own post though, which is coming soon.
Some exciting news that we received recently, is that my sister in law Melissa is expecting her second child. Come the end of Septmeber, we will have another nephew or a niece to spoil! I am hoping it will be a girl, but knowing the hubby's family though it will probably be a boy. I will be happy either way.
Also, my parents have decided to come out to CA in May. I am very excited about this, as we have not seen them since our wedding. I can't believe we have been married almost 2 years! It seems like just yesterday, that all the family was out here for the wedding. I am already planning in my mind where I think they might want to go and also what to cook for them!
Anyways, it finally seems like life is slowly starting to fall back into a routine or return back to "normal". This I am very thankful for. I already have a couple potential blog posts floating around in my mind. I do promise it won't be another month before my next blog post!
