I use cilantro a lot in my cooking, so I really wanted to be able to grow it myself. Last month I was on a mission to find some and I searched and searched all over, but couldn't find any. Angelina so nicely directed me over to Target and I picked up two of them. I was extremely excited about these plants and I couldn't wait till they grew larger. Maybe a little too excited.
Since, the weather has been really hot, I have been watering the plants every evening. Well, last night while watering I noticed, I have killed both cilantro plants with to much love! I over watered them and they died. :(
When I purchased each plant, I made sure to check the little instructions as to how much sun, how big they grow, and how much water they need. When I noticed the cilantro had died, I checked how much water they need as I couldn't remember. Well the instructions don't say anything. Ugh! Well no wonder I killed them!
Now, do I buy more and hopefully learn from this lesson or just wait for next summer to try again?

Ah that stinks! Sounds like the directions were fabulous. Good luck with the next one :)
Aw, I'm sorry. I would still try to get another one though.
Glad to see I'm not the only "gardening newbie" that overwaters and kills things. I have killed all my lillies this year - welcome to the club!
You should try again! I discovered with most plants, no matter what they are (unless cactus or succulent plants), watering every other night, and soaking them when you do water seems to be the way to go. (Mine are in pots, thought, too...herbs seem to do well in pots) My cilantro is living and doing well...feel free to use some! But, I just got them the week before last at the Target on Tyler. Try, try again! Cilantro is worth it! :) Amy D. said that when she lived here that all her plants died. She claims there is something wrong with the soil.
Try again!! It stays warm here until at least October, so you still have some months left. I think it happens to the best of us.
If at first you don't succeed, try, try again! Go out and get yourself another plant! Mmmmmm cilantro :D
