Peanut Butter Cookies

For the last couple of days I have been craving peanut butter cookies and finally last night I was able to make them. I found this recipe on and it was entitled Classics Peanut Butter Cookies. They came out amazing! David is on weight watchers so I figured out the points for them and they came out to 6 points per cookie! He will be sad to hear that I am sure. I brought some to work and the ladies all loved them. The only real modifications I made to the recipe was that I added vanilla, used salted butter and omitted the salt. I did use all natural peanut butter and real butter which I am not sure if it makes a difference but I thought it was worth mentioning. Anyways, this is one recipe you definitely have to try!

Peanut Butter Cookies
Yield: 24 cookies
Weight Watchers Points: 6 points per cookie

1 cup of unsalted butter
1 cup of crunchy peanut butter
1 cup of white sugar
1 cup of packed brown sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp. of vanilla

2 1/2 cups of all purpose flour
1 tsp. of baking powder
1/2 tsp. of salt
1 1/2 tsp. of baking soda

Cream together butter, peanut butter and sugars. Beat in eggs and vanilla. In a medium sized bowl, sift flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Stir into the batter. Refrigerate batter for 1 hour. Roll into 1 inch balls and put on baking sheets. Flatten each ball with a fork, making a criss-cross pattern. Bake in preheated 375 degree oven for about 10 min or until cookies are golden.

ok, I am having a hard time reading all your posts about food, they all look sooo good it just makes me wanna go eat!!!!! I noticed you said David was on WW, as am I. Didnt know if you all subscribed to the website or not, but they have some good recipes on there. I have some that are so good, IMO, that I cook them even when I'm not on WW. Anyways, your food looks deeeelish!! Yum!
