Tomorrow night, the girls and I will be heading to the movie theatre to see the midnight showing of New Moon! I am super duper excited! Finally, it is here!
I am currently watching Twilight and as soon as it's over I am going to bed. I want to be nicely rested for tomorrow. I have to work on Friday (crazy I know), so as soon as I get home tomorrow night, I am going to try and take a nap. Friday, morning I will be picking up a Pumpkin Spice Latte on the way to work. I will definitely need my caffeine fix. That's the plan. I hope I'm not a zombie at work on Friday.
I have heard of others that have re-read New Moon to refresh all the details before watching the movie. I decided to not do that. Also, I'll tell you a secret: I really couldn't put down the Outlander series. Sssh... don't tell anyone! But anyways, back to my not re-reading the book. We all know the movie is never as good as the book. I don't want to be disappointed when I watch the movie. I did re-read New Moon back in July, so it's still pretty fresh in my memory.
So, I leave all you Twilight fans out there with a question:
Did you do a re-read of the book in preparation of seeing the movie?

AHHH! I am SO excited! I am going to a midnight showing, as well. (And, going to work on Friday, I have to be up by 5, crazy!)
I re-read NM over the summer, but not too recently.
I think I may give the Outlander series a try next...
I'm so jealous of all you ladies going to see it on the first day (though the idea of me staying up that late to watch a movie is mind boggling). But... Jesse is going to take me over Thanksgiving :)
And no, I didn't re-read the book. I actually found the 2nd one very depressing and didn't want to do it again. Plus, I've been busy ready a bunch of other books.
Nicole: When I re-read New Moon, I enjoyed it much more than the first time. First time, I was rushing through it trying to get to the end when Edward came back to the story. Second time, I actually was able to appreciate Jacob's friendship with Bella. I am very much Team Edward still though!
Angie: I have to be up at 5:00 as well!
If I know there's a movie of a book out or about to come out I will purposely put off reading the book so I can watch the movie first. I never enjoy the movie if I've already read the book. This way I can enjoy both. :)
