Our household is sad this morning, of the outcome of yesterdays presidential election. We are happy though, to see that our country has been able to put behind us, the racial issues that plagued us for so many years. We have come so far in such a short period of time!
Even though the election is over, we must continue to pray for our county, President Obama and all of our new leaders. There are going to be a lot of changes in the coming months and years to come. We need to pray that the Lord's will will be done, even though we may not agree/understand his plan.
Holly over at Seeking Faithfulness posted a couple of great links to articles regarding praying for our new president.
Randy Alcorn: It's over, but its not over...
Dr. Albert Mohler: America has chosen.
Thanks Holly!
I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone—for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.

I'd have to completely agree with you. And you used the verse I almost used for my WFW today.
Again, I feel the same way. I'm so not happy with the results but am hoping (and praying) that he makes good decisions.
Well said, I agree 100%!
